Daily Dose of Dylin

Dylin told me she saw a Nugget today. I said, "A what?" She said, "you know a nugget.... one of those mini people." I said, "A midget?" She said, "Oh ya, a midget... but I like nugget better!"
LOL!!!!

Baby steps

She started to take the bottle!!! (Sorta) Some days she's crying so hard that it just drips down her throat, but she's getting used to it. Plus I have my little helpers and they are being so patient with her and I.
Getting back into the baby phase is not so easy.
Macy loves her cousins, although this picture looks like she is scared out of her mind. Haha.

My little business woman

Translation: Please put tips in this cup if you want to go in Dylin's room.

Clever Tyler!

I'm so impressed that my son wanted to take a shower that bad that when the curtain rod fell, he rigged up his own. There was a flood left on the ground, but hey, you're pretty darn clever!

Daily Dose of Dylin

Dylin - "Mom, I don't want to go to church!"
Me - "Dylin, we're going!"
Dylin - "Lets pretend we're sick!"
Me - "Dylin, Jesus knows if we're faking."
Dylin - "Not if we fake it real goooood!"

"Keep it simple stupid!"

My Dad & Tyler have a solution to fix the Oil spill in the Gulf and when my Dad was explaining his reasoning for his way of thinking, he told Tyler this story....

"I remember when I was a teenager learning to drive and one place I learned was on the Pasadena freeway. Well,  this freeway was very narrow and winding. On the Los Angeles side there were maybe four tunnels you had to go into. These tunnels were like train tunnels that were rounded at the top. No big trucks were allowed on this freeway because of the height limits, but it was so confusing you could get mixed up very easily. Imagine this, the tunnels were built many years ago and the highest part (top of the round) was about 16 feet which made the lower part of the rounds maybe 12 to 14 feet. Many trucks today need 16 to 18 feet clearance.  One day a truck driver got confused and ended up having to drive through the tunnels and got stuck under one because he was probably just at the 16 foot height. Not being able to go forward or backwards the truck was wedged inside of that tunnel and couldn't move forward or backwards. Police, tow truck companies, city workers, firemen and engineers didn't know how to get the truck out, it was stuck. Well traffic was backed up for miles and miles and eventually a car was passing with a young kid in the car and the young boy realized what happened and yelled out, WHY DON'T YOU LET THE AIR OUT OF THE TIRES!!"

Their solution is much like this story. "Keep it simple stupid!"
Tyler's busy drawing up his plan, we'll post soon and send to Washington ;o)

Quick trip to Utah

We headed to Utah for our 3rd annual Chelsi Peterson fun run.  Chelsi was killed in car accident 2 years ago, right before 20th birthday.  Each year on her birthday, we participate in a fun run at night.

This is Chelsi's sister, Shayli.

We also had to cool off in the 112 degree weather....

playing around with my camera, but it looks sorta neat like that...

Isn't this the creepiest statue to have in a park??

Seriously, that is weird. Nightmares anyone??!!

Baby's got the Blues

Baby Macy won't take the bottle. My sister Robin is going back to teaching her little first graders on Monday and we're up a freakin' creek! Everyone says, "Oh she won't starve herself, don't worry!" WRONG! She will go hours upon hours and will scream until you want to scream with her. I don't know what to do! Today I tried for 30 minutes, Robin stepped in, and started singing songs to her. She thinks she is Phoebe on Friends. "You love this bottle, You love this bottle, it's your favorite thing in the world....you want the bottle, you want the bottle, the bottle is for youuuuuu!" Tyler chimes in, in a high octave range, "She wants a boob, She wants a boob!"

HAHAHAHAHA. He's so funny.

Hey genius, got any common sense?

Now which team would you want to be on? The team at the top or bottom of the stairs....
hmmmm Tyler & Dru,
I think the younger kids have the right idea.

Better watch it!

When you're naughty, stuff like this gets posted!!!
You look so pretty Tyler. Kyle, sorry to throw you in the mix but hey you have a six pack!

Congrats Jordyn!!!

Jordyn's class made a hard bound book with stories inside from each student. Jordyn's art work was chosen from her classmates as the cover of the book!!!!

The Huge Ball
by, Jordyn

Once upon a time there was a princess who lived in a gray castle. She loved to dance on the pretty, green grass. One day she thought it maybe I should have a ball. so she asked if someone could clean the huge castle, decorate the ballroom, and sew her pretty dress. then she thought I should make invitations. So she did. Once she was done she had to deliver one hundred twenty invitations. She walked twenty miles there and twenty miles back and was exhausted when she returned.
the princess thought I need to get some rest for tomorrow. She got up at 8:30 in the morning, got hte dress on ad said to herself, "I look beautiful!" the princess went down the stairs and saw someone she wanted to dance with. She said to the man in the black tuxedo with the nice accent, "I pick you to dance with." They danced until they got sick spinning around. Then the boy said, "would you like to marry me?"
She said, "yes!" They lived happily ever after.

Rivals

Did you happen to catch game 3 between Dodgers & Yankees? I don't know what was more entertaining, watching the great game or watching these two best buddies Kyle & Tyler watch it together. I wish I had a video camera on them!
