Happy Birthday Dylin!!!

Six years ago, we were told Dylin's life expectancy may be a few months. IF there was a miracle, she'd be on dialysis & have a transplant by the age of four. Today Dylin turned 6 & she is still the miracle that hasn't had either. We never know when our day will come, but as for today.... we celebrate her life! Happy birthday Rock Star, you're amazing!!!!! XOXOXOXO

Dylin has a charm bracelet. Every time she has a procedure, blood draw, etc she earns a charm.
She has over 30 :o(
Today, I thought she earned one just by being special and battling her way to SIX YEARS OLD!!!
Her new one is the ice cream cone.

Dylin - "fiiiiiive bucks!"
Gabby - "ya, that's about what I get!"
Dylin - "Ya, what's with the tooth fairy not handing out twentys?"
Gabby - "Ya, no kidding!"

Dylin's birthday party~

Dylin's 6th birthday party was a hit.
BBQ, swimming, sno cones, limbo, zhu zhu pets and a movie under the stars!

Jordyn made a purse for Dylin! So cute J!
Instead of party favor bags full of crap... each friend received flip flops with a tag reading, "thanks for flip floppin over to my party!"

I have an artist!

Only my kindergartner would draw a picture at school of a monkey flipping off someone! I asked her if it was an abstract monkey, since his limbs don't seem to be connected. Nonetheless, we get the point Dylin!

Green Cube paybacks!

I have been begging for Dylin to just be a good girl in school and STOP losing those dang green cubes. Okay so I lied... Lose them all you want Dylin!
She has been a devil at home and it's all due to her having 4 days in a row of not losing a single one.  She's made us all cry or nearly want to put her out front with a for sale sign in her hands. She has to argue every single thing, go off on everyone, she wants her way with everyone!
Don't believe me? (well if you know her, of course you believe me)
Me - "Dylin, you are being such a brat!"
Dyl - "Well, what'da ya think you are!?"

Me - "Dylin, what is going on? You are so out of control!"
Dyl - "Well, I've had to be so good at school, you don't expect me to be good all day do you?"
          "I just can't do it!"

Me - "Dyl, you are VERRRRY close to not having a birthday party."
Dyl - "Why? i'll be good that day!"
(gee thanks.)

Let me remind you, SHE IS FIVE!!!

Totally Focused Baby!

Intoducting TOTALLY FOCUSED PHOTOGRAPHY!
My friend Natalie and I are officially in business.
We are in the middle of our first Little League tournament.
We specialize in action shots at sporting tournaments, but also do events with our green screen. You can choose your backgrounds and the coolest part of all.... we have onsite printing. Pictures can be viewed and printed within a matter of minutes. Here are a few shots from this weekend, in our beautiful Vegas 108 degree weather! AHHH!

My nieces, Scottee & Hadlee

As Dylin would say, "Eazzy Peezy, lemon squeezy!" Too much fun and only 30 minutes of shooting... love you my little munchkins.

silly girls were yelling MONKEYS!!!

Those dang green cubes again....

We've had issues all year about green cubes. These are behavior cubes in Dylin's kindergarten class. You lose them when you're naughty, not listening, talking... pretty much anything Dylin does. It's been quite funny how we don't have to ask her anymore if she's lost any that day, she has to get it off her chest. We have non stop talks about this little issue and I'm telling you... she's had the best excuses. You almost can't say anything except, "ya you've gotta point there Dylin."

"There is definitely not enough time in recess to get all your talking done!"
"Mom, it's rude to not answer someone when they talk to you!"
"I still have one cube left, that's good??"

So today we're walking up to school, just holding hands. I looked down at her and said, "Dylin can you try really really hard to not lose any green cubes today, pretty please??" Without a breath, she said, "Oh that's an easy one, I don't have any anyways!"
