I am so proud of Tyler. It has been a rough Little League season for many reasons, but the most important part in all of this?.... Tyler ended his season with a BANG! He proved many people wrong, more importantly, he proved himself wrong.
It was during our semi final game, we were down by a lot. Tyler was being put in for his one and only at bat. I walked up to the dug out and said, "Tyler, this is your last at bat for your Little League career, and your last at bat for All Stars. I want you to go up there, don't listen to a word your Coaches say, and do what YOU know how to do!" Surprisingly, Tyler looked up with a smile and said, "OK!"
After watching 2 balls, 2 strikes right down the middle, foul tipped it, and then another ball... it was full count! What do you think happened???
Tyler smashed the ball clear over center field!!!!
He hit his first HOME RUN to finish his Little League Career!!
